Book is clean and well-bound with burgundy boards sporting a nice beveled edge to boards and gilt printing to spine. A few small tears to band at bottom of spine, a small bit of corner wear, and light overall foxing to endpapers and at edges of photos. An interesting copy insofar as former owner taped to the book's first blank pages Blount's 1905 death notice and a 1903 notice of Blount's 94th birthday and also laid-in a lengthy obituary, all taken from the London Times.. Owner also penciled his own name and noted that the book was a Christmas gift from his mother in 1902. Book relates Blount's experiences in banking (in France) and railroads (in France and England) and his encounters with the great people and events of the day. 308 pages.
